Educated at Bosse Elementary and Bosse High School, she became the third generation of women in her family to graduate from college when she received her degree from Randolph-Macon Women’s College (now Randolph College) in 1945. She joined her mother’s sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and was President of her college YWCA chapter. She was also elected to a prestigious service honorary organization as a sophomore at Randolph-Macon. She married Donald Baird Korb in February, 1946, at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville, where they have been lifelong members. After living in Cambridge, MA, and upstate New York, they returned to Evansville and raised three daughters, Anne, Martha, and Sarah. Jean continued her involvement with her local sorority alumnae and served on the board of the Evansville YWCA. She also served as the Treasurer of the Junior League of Evansville, as a member of the board of the Girl Scouts/Raintree Council, and as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. In addition, she and Don were honored as recipients of the Samuel Orr Honorary Alumni Award from the University of Evansville Alumni Association.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Miriam Ogle; and younger brother, James B. Ogle.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Donald B.
