Obituary of Jeffrey A. Dickman
Jeffrey Allen Dickman, 57, of Newburgh passed away on Monday September 26, 2022. He was born December 29, 1964 in Evansville to the late Ronald and Naomi (Dabbs) Dickman. Jeff was the face, fit, and finish behind his company, Jedi Renovations, Inc. Jeff began his construction life early. After learning his trade and working in the commercial space for a while, he settled into residential contracting and the niche of historic renovation. Jeff’s attention to detail and his willingness to go the extra mile for his clients was his calling card. He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship and beautifully restored homes in the Historic Downtown Evansville area. Together with his son, Josh, they design, engineer, fabricate, and install the JRI Woodworks line of custom cabinets. Jeff had many passions – music, boating, and cars – all fast. But he loved his friends and family. Any opportunity to mix and mingle was Jeff’s joy above all. Anybody who ever met Jeff found an immediate friend and a special, lasting relationship with him. His ability to love and give was like no others. Jeff was a member of the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association and was a Master Mason at Lessing Lodge #460. He was also a member of the Evansville Hadi Shriners. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dody (Dorene Miller) Dickman, and their dog, Jada. He is also survived by and will be missed by his sisters, Barbara Griffith, Pam Muensterman (Joe), and Debbie Cohoon (Tom); his son and daughter, Josh Dickman (Ashleigh) and Amber Dickman (Emily); his grandchildren Gwen, Wyatt, and Hank; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his sisters- and brothers-in-law Linda (Miller) and Koko Andrews, Suellen (Miller) and Kenny Selby, Diane (Ritter) Miller, and mother-in-law Dorothy Miller. He is preceded in death by his mother Faye Dickman, father Ronald Dickman, brother, Rick Dickman, and brother-in-law Rick Miller. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 1, 2022 at Alexander North Chapel, with burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
