He trained as a boxer when he was young. Jerome enjoyed fishing, playing cards and chess. He loved Oprah and watching boxing and football. Jerome loved being around his family and his dogs.
Jerome is preceded in death by his brothers, Keith Johnson, Donald Kimbrough, Norman McCord, Tommy Kimbrough; sister, Sharon Kimbrough; granddaughter, Keyna Taylor May.
Jerome is survived by his children, Jerome Kimbrough Jr., Tyrone Taylor, Yvette Taylor, Jamal Taylor, Jamon Kimbrough, Tomika Morris (Adrian), Nakeya Taylor; sister, Rosemary Hawkins (Tony); brothers, Larry Johnson (Mary Weimer Johnson), Ronnie Johnson (Debbie), Donnie Johnson (Simone), David Johnson (Monee); 24 grandchildren; and a host of great- grandchildren
Private Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Adrian M. Brooks Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
