Jesse retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation.
He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and creative woodworker.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, B. Juanita Harmon; son Jesse W. Harmon; grandsons, Tommy and Ronnie Harmon and Rodney Newman; son-in-law, Bob Mattingly; and great grandson, Caleb Newman.
He is survived by his daughters, Anita and Bob Newman of Owensboro, KY and Linda Mattingly of Evansville; son, Mark and Cheryl Harmon of Mt. Vernon, IN; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren; sister, Louise Hawkins of Madisonville, KY; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Harmon of Tampa, FL.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Locust Hill
Cemetery officiated by Rev. Ray Brown. There will be no visitation at Alexander North Chapel.
