James was an avid Cardinals fan.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Higgins; son, Thomas J. Higgins (Melissa) and two grandchildren, Lydia and Logan Higgins.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Tupman Cemetery.
