He grew up in Deep Creek, Virginia where he played baseball, football, and basketball with the Parks and Recreation Department. He made baseball all-stars as a pitcher and also played basketball for Deep Creek Jr. High School. Jimmy loved playing sports. He moved to Evansville at the age of 17, following his dad’s path to become an ironworker. Jimmy completed the four year apprenticeship program and became a journeyman ironworker with Local Union 103 in Evansville. Throughout his time as an ironworker, he had the privilege to be a part of some of Evansville’s major projects.
Jimmy is survived by his father, James D. Krawetz, Sr. (Cheryl); mother, Teresa L. (Reynolds) Haney; he was blessed with two beautiful children, Jordan and Brooklyn; sisters, Rachel Krawetz and Dasha Cartwright; brothers, Tommy Krawetz, Jerry Haney, Timothy Haney, Joey Cartwright (Christine), and Justin Cartwright; and many nieces and nephews who each held a special place in Jimmy’s heart.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
