He graduated from Central High School in 1976. John worked at Bunny Bread (Lewis Bakeries) in maintenance for close to 14 years. He then moved on to Preh-Ima Automation as a machinist.
John was a carefree spirit who loved to ride his Harley in the open air, wind in his face and flowing through his beard. He was an extremely loving, smart, intelligent man. John loved his wife, children, and grandchildren above all else. He was a very compassionate, loyal animal lover. John was a very hard-working man who could make and fix anything with the right tools. Music was good therapy for him as he had eclectic taste.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert Carl Freiberger, and Nancy Patricia (Matthews) Herron, as well as his step-father, Jefferson Roy Herron.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Terri Lee (Burton) Freiberger; brother, Michael E. Freiberger; nephew, Jacob Freiberger;
children, Jason Burton, Lucas Freiberger, Lindsy Eickhoff (Matthew), Megan Bitzer, and Jessica Kerstiens (Eric); and 11 grandchildren, Ayden Bitzer, Adalynn Freiberger, Abri Eickhoff, Maverick Bitzer, Kaylea Kerstiens, Blake Eickhoff, Ryker Freiberger, Erica Kerstiens, Mason Eickhoff, Brantley Bitzer, and Patrick Kerstiens.
