John Robert was the guy coach Brenton lined me up against in football practice to see how tough I was — Lord knows John Robert was tough as nails and always a good sport... I know that he is in a better place and I will miss his smiling face and great attitude— until we meet again in heaven my brother...

John was a great guy and wonderful sports enthusiast . Loving sports myself, we always had a conversation about sports when we met. But what made John the happiest was his family, he would get a special smile when talking about kids or grandkids. He loved his family and John was a wonderful father and grandfather. John wore many hats in his life , and suffered late in life with health issues...but he always had his faith and his family. God Speed John and Prayers for his family.

I want to extend my sympathy to Mickey, Tom, Scott, and Andy for the passing of such a great guy, your husband and father. I will fondly remember the times we had when we were so involved in the Biddy Basketball program, as well as the North Elementary sports programs. We sure had some fun times together. I will always treasure those memories.

We know Andy and he is a testament to what a good father John was (even though we did not have the pleasure of knowing him personally). Your family is in our prayers. May John bask in the presence of our Heavenly Father!
