He was a World War II veteran who served in the United States Army. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 35 years of service as a security guard.
Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Dempsey; daughter, Phylis Kisner; son, Joseph Dempsey, Jr.; brothers, William and Earl Dempsey and sister, Eleanor Stucke.
He is survived by grandchildren, Joseph and Jeffrey Guillerman and sister Shirley Smith.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Alexander Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Saturday from 9:00 AM to service time at the cemetery.
