Joyce N. Mayhugh

Joyce had worked at Spiegel Catalog for 15 years, and had also worked in the family car business. One of her favorite jobs was as a real estate agent for Linda Thomas Realty. She had also worked in marketing for Sam’s Club and was a Home Health provider for the elderly. Her greatest and dearest time was spent helping to raise her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Junie (Mercer) Jernigan, and brother, Joe Jernigan.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Amy Mayhugh and Gwen (Randy) Moore; grandchildren, Randy Gregg, Chaz Moore, Chelsea Moore, Hope Phillips, Emilee Cummins; great granddaughter, Milah Grace; ex-husband and dear friend, Harold Mayhugh; son-in-law, Dan Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

A special “thank you” to her best friends, Barbara Griffin and Kathy Gunn for their tender care of our mother.
