Judith N Thompson

Judy was a dedicated nurse at St. Mary's OB/GYN Pediatric Clinic for 33 years. However she would often say she was a mother first, nurse second. Her love for serving others helped guide many generations to continue their education to work in the healthcare professions and in the educational field. She was avid sewer, knitter, cook, and a meticulous cleaner. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in need with medical advice, cleaning, and sewing their clothes. She made sure everyone was always welcome at her house, was always making food and kept the Oreo jar full.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Lacy; sister, Evelyn Schaeffer; and her niece, Eva Jane.

Judy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harlan Thompson; daughter, Sandy Stabenfeldt (Steve); granddaughter, Courtney LeBarron (Kyle); brother, Howard Lacy, Jr. (Nancy); sisters, Brenda Gregoritsch (Joe) and Christina Bacon (Bill); 22 nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Per Judy's wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
