Judy A. (Elderfield) Day

Judy (Elderfield) Day, 78, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. She was born on April 22, 1944 in Evansville to the late Jack and Dorothy (Schimmel) Elderfield. She was a 1962 graduate of Bosse High School and was proud to serve on every Reunion Committee. Judy retired after a 29-year successful career at BeautiControl. This was a fun and rewarding career where she was a very successful sales executive; winning cars, diamonds, and trips to Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Canada. She won the Mrs. Indiana 1989 Beauty Pageant and sang at the Grand Ole Opry. Judy was recognized by National Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals. She was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church where she enjoyed working in the coffee café on Sunday mornings. Judy was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, Wyndall R. Day (2019); son, Jeff Day; nephew, Jim George; and her dog, Lilly Mae. She is survived by her sister, Jackie George of San Antonio, TX; nephew, Craig George (Lisa) of Troy, IN; nephew, Ryan George (Karen McBride) and their daughter, Rachael of San Antonio, TX; nephew, Kirk Milling (Lynn); niece, Connie (Milling) Wittenbraker; nephew, Keith Milling (Kim); niece, Kathy David (Tom); nephew, Brian Day (Janet); niece, Brenda Orsburn (David); and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating. Burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
