Julie Anne Collins

Julie graduated from Bosse High School in 1981. After a long career in medical transcription and medical records, she most recently worked at Deaconess Women’s Hospital for several years.

Julie was very intelligent and excellent in playing Scrabble. She enjoyed sewing, making Halloween costumes for her daughter, and was proud to make her daughter’s prom dress. She loved cooking, baking, reading, and animals. Julie enjoyed spending time with her family and relaxing on the beach at Hilton Head Island.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Horn.

Julie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kevin Collins; daughter, Jane Collins (Dustin Bowling); grandson, Ezra Bowling and granddaughter, Evelyn Bowling; father, Carl Horn; sister, Elizabeth Wright; brother, Mike Horn (Anita); niece, Clara Kallner; great-niece, Adele Kallner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CDT at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
