She was an active member of Crossroads Community Church in Oakley, Ohio. Karen was a proud breast cancer survivor who was active in the Breast Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. She recently completed a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, crossing the finish line. She was employed with AAA Travel for 27 years and most recently held the position of Supervisor of Travel Information Systems. She was a member of Singles for Charity in Cincinnati, which was a group that helped others in need.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Ebinger; grandmother, Carrie Ebinger; aunt and uncle, Dan and Carolyn Curtis; and aunt and uncle, Carl and Viola Ebinger.
She is survived by her father, Robert C. Ebinger; sister, Charlene Laib and husband, Max; nephew, Alan Mueller and wife, Erin, of Kalamazoo, MI and their daughter, Hailey; nephew, Chris Mueller and wife, Allison, of Collierville, TN and their sons, Colton, Caleb and Aidan; uncles, Earl Ebinger and Paul Ebinger and wife, Dorothy, and their daughters, Terri and Linda; aunt, Irene Winfield; cousin, Carla Gehlhausen and husband, Jeff, and their children, Nathan, Nicole, Katelyn and Zachary; cousin, Dana Curtis; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel.
