He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ITT Technical Institute. He was a creative thinker, great story teller, loved science and nature, being outdoors, helping people, working on cars and football, but loved nothing more than seeing his family together having fun.
Kelly is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Johnson and her son, Joziah; son, Kyle Johnson; mother, Mary Jane Wargel; brother, Kenneth Johnson; sisters, Karen Wright (Jess), Kendra Embry (Lance), and Kay Belt (Mike); niece, McKenzie; and nephews, Dawson, Cameron, and Conner.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
