He was a member of the Local 136 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union as a licensed Plumber for 35 years from September 1984 at the age of 19. Kent played football for Reitz and continued to be a big Reitz Supporter and loved IU Basketball. He loved his family and his dogs.
Kent is survived by his son, Dustin Stephens; parents, Charles and Peggy Stephens; Life Partner, Cheryl Weber; brother Brian (Janet) Stephens of West Lafayette, IN; a niece and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel officiated by Pastors James and Julie Wells. Friends may visit 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the cemetery chapel.
