Kerry worked for the City of Evansville since August 1988. He was the Executive Assistant for Transportation and Services and had worked in the Department of Metropolitan Development and Levee Department. At a young age he started working for the Evansville Press delivering newspapers. He also worked at Country School House Restaurant on the west side, Whirlpool Corporation, and Stewart Sandwiches.
He graduated from Reitz High School and Indiana State University of Evansville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Kerry was a jack of all trades. He had an answer for everything. If you needed something to get done, he would figure out a way to get it done. He was an excellent craftsman from woodworking to remodeling his house. He enjoyed working around his home, mowing grass, gardening and his pets.
Kerry was a jokester. He enjoyed teasing his family and friends. He was dedicated to his family as an excellent husband, dad and grandfather. He loved family gatherings and supporting his children in their many sporting activities and with anything they needed.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Becky (Seifert) Kamp; daughter, Caroline Kamp; son, Kyle Kamp (Lindsay); grandson, Grant; sisters, Kathy Petrovic (Bill), Karla Cook (Michael), and Krista Reising (Kirk); brother, Kenny Kamp (Menchie); nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Bessie Adams. Friends may visit Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery.
