He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dale Johnson and brother, Gregory Allen Johnson.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Beth Johnson; son, Wesley Kent Johnson; granddaughter, Alexis Johnson; mother, Alice Joanell (Pemberton) Johnson; siblings, Ginger Kay Williams (Randy) and Jeffrey Wade Johnson (Shawn); step-sons, Richard William McIntyre and Richard Williams; uncles, Millard Phillip Johnson and Vaughn Gene Pemberton; aunts, Effie Lee Baker and Marjorie Baughn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He worked in several fields, including in stocking at Schnuck's, as a bricklayer and as a groundskeeper at Bethel Sanitarium, Inc.
Kevin enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He loved his dogs, Pickles and Pico. Family was very important to him, and he especially adored his granddaughter, Alexis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (for breast cancer) or to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
Kevin's funeral will be held at 12:00 on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Alexander Funeral Home West, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, officiated by Pastor Robert Lloyd with burial at Gwaltney Memorial Park Cemetery in Midway, IN. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
