He attended Bosse High School and served in the US Army. He worked at Channel 7, Arkla Industries, and in sales. His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren. He was a gifted song writer, singing in the band, “Gary & the Circles.”
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy Cowan; and trusted friends.
He is survived by his sons, Jacob (Lindsey) and Lucas Cowan; daughter, Sunday Lutz (Rob); sister, Linda Fraize (Bud), all of Evansville; brother, Donald Cowan of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Augustus and Sophia Cowan, Lindsey McCord and Triston Hape; nieces, Deborah and Cheryl; and nephews, Jason and Jonathon, all of Evansville.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
