

Larry Allen Walther, 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to his family. He was born on December 24, 1952, in Evansville, IN to the late Elmer and Dorothy (Worman) Walther.
A proud over-the-road truck driver, Larry spent many years traversing the country’s highways, embracing the freedom of the open road. In addition to his trucking career, he owned and operated Larry’s Excavating, where his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence made a lasting impact on his community.
Beyond his professional life, Larry found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending countless hours connecting with nature. His love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles reflected his adventurous spirit and independent nature.
Larry was also passionate for Second Amendment rights, showing his support to the National Gun Rights of America.
Those who knew Larry will remember his strong will, hardworking nature, and unwavering loyalty to the people he held dear.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. May his memory live on in the stories shared, the roads traveled, and the places he loved most.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Walther; and sister, Kay Fulton.
He is survived by his son, John Walther (Brandi); grandsons, Axten Walther and Logan Sisk; brother, Jim Walther; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Bobby Cox. Burial will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
