

She lived previously in Evansville and was a 1960 graduate of Bosse High School. She received an L.P.N. license in nursing in 1963 from the Louisville School of Nursing. Until her retirement in 1990, Laura worked at Welborn Hospital, Good Samaritan Nursing Home, the McCurdy, and private duty cases. In 1986, she received an A.A.S. degree from Lockyear College in Business Administration. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross-stitch, animals, and being with her family.
Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte (Oslage) White; sister, Karen (Oslage) McGuiness; and her first husband, Douglas Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica (John); Brianna (Jorel); two grandchildren, Emily and Riley; her husband, David Crooks; and numerous cousins and extended family.
Services will be 4:00 PM Monday, March 10, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Brother Phillip Williams. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
