

Laura was a devoted wife and mother. Her working career began as a switchboard operator in Inglefield. She later worked for a short time at Fendrich Cigar Co. In the late 1970s, she became a waitress at Country School Restaurant before spending over twenty years as a demonstration person at Sam’s Club where she retired in 2006 at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Sylvester; sisters, Mildred, infant twins, and Esther Bogan; brothers, Royce, Karl, Loren, Elmer, Herbert, and Edward Broderhausen; brother-in-law, Robert Mahan; and son-in-law, Paul Bicker.
Laura is survived by sisters, Viola Mahan of Melber, KY; daughters, Carolyn Bicker of Troy, MO, Irene (Charles) Solomon of Newburgh, and Joan Fischer of Evansville; grandsons, Bryan (Deborah Lynn) Bicker and Ron (Debbie Sue) Bicker of Troy, MI, Michael (Darla) Solomon of Chandler, and Shawn (Anne Keefer) Solomon of Palmetto, FL; eight great grandchildren; and, three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1401 West Boonville New Harmony Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Rev. Stan Temme officiating and burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and Wednesday 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Roxanne, Erik, Donna, and Meeka at Hamilton Point.
