Leah worked at ABC Discount Store and Robert Hall. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling, bingo, fishing, and horse racing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, the love of her life, Robert Gibson.
Leah is survived by her son, Bobby Gibson; daughter, Beverly Shemwell; son, David Gibson (Nancy); grandchildren, Donny Shemwell, Angie Sumner, Sara and Matt Gibson, Jamie Rose, Deidre Gibson; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
