Linda was born May 1, 1958 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Archie & Selma Powers. She graduated from Reitz High School, Deaconess School of Nursing, and the University of Evansville graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Linda started her career in nursing at Deaconess Hospital, working in ortho and advancing into management. She moved to St. Louis where she married her husband Jim Rieck. Together they took a long trek north to Minnesota where she worked as ADON at FMC Rochester. She welcomed her move to North, Texas as the Director of Nursing at FMC Fort Worth. Linda loved Texas and her cabin in the Ouachita Mountains in Oklahoma. Linda and Jim lived in Texas and Oklahoma for the next 13 years. In 2008 Linda retired from her DON assignment and became a full time wife, mother, grandmother, rabid Texas Ranger fan, and horsewoman. Linda learned how to ride a pony before she could walk. She helped Jim, and her friends and family share her passion for horses. In October 2011, Jim and Linda move back to St. Louis, Missouri to be closer to family. Linda enjoyed going to the many activities of her grandchildren and hosting family gatherings where she loved to cook! Her mother was a great country cook and Linda inherited her talent for cooking.
