Mr. Scudella, the owner of Scudella Drapery Hardware and a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in the Armored Recon Division in Europe, last station was in Germany at the end of World War II. He was a long time, proud veteran member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization. Mr. Scudella had the honor and privilege to participate in the spring 2019 Honor Flight of Southern Indiana Celebration, paying tribute to those veterans who have served our great country.
Preceding him in death were his loving wife of 28 years, Helen C. (Bolin) Scudella (1988); parents; siblings William, Harry, Frank, and Florence (Anderson); stepson, Charles Harold Hedges, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Ellen Louise Hedges; and longtime companion Marilyn C. Schneider.
He is survived by his daughter, Aprile (Michael) Sandefur; stepson, Colin Kelly Hedges; daughter-in-law, Mary Hedges; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend our sincerest appreciation and thanks to the many kind staff members of Heritage Healthcare Center for their kind, compassionate care received by Lindy over his latter years.
Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, IN. Memorial services for Mr. Scudella are to be held at a later time.
