He lived life to the fullest and loved music and traveling. He was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.
Loren was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Cates; and brothers, William V., Robin D. and Alton R. Cates.
He is survived by his father, William Cates; daughter, Amber Cappelletti; son, Loren H. Cates; sisters, Shannon Balthis and Elizabeth Williams; and grandchildren, Allie and Jude Cappelletti.
Services will be 6:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Monday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
