Lorene Jane Martin

Lorene Jane Martin, 79, formally of Mission, TX and Lansing, MI, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Good Samaritan Home in Evansville, IN. She was born April 2, 1933 in Lansing, MI to DeMaris and William Mallory.

In 1952, Jane moved to Corpus Christi, TX where her lifelong friend, Jolynn (Jodi) Douglas and parents lived. Jane traveled back and forth to Lansing to see friends and relatives. On one of these trips, she ran into an old friend who later became her husband, Charles. Lorene and Charles Martin were married in 1976 in Corpus Christi, TX. She and her husband moved back to MI for a while and then later moved to Mission, TX, where she stayed.

Jane was preceded in death in 2004, by her husband, Charles.

She is survived by her great niece Terie (Earl) Hooper and her three great-great nieces, Halie, Jolie and Kaysie of Evansville, IN. She is also survived by her nephews, Bill (Jaye) Mallory of Evansville, Dennis (Mary) Mallory of Hale, MI,

At Jane’s request, there will be no services. She is being cremated and her ashes will be sent to Eastern Memory Gardens in Okemos, MI where she will be placed with her husband.
