

He participated in the Civilian Conservation Core and was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of Bethel Temple. Louis loved spending time with family. He also loved animals and fishing.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Nina L. Donley; brother, Vernon Donley; sister, Nell Rose Bowlin; and great-grandson, Ryan Blalock.
He is survived by his son, Ronald “Ron” W. Donley and wife, Pat, of Evansville; daughter, Denisha Starr Blalock and husband, Jim, of Norwood, NC; sister CarolineCornell; sister-in-law, Leona Donley; seven grandchildren, Mark Blalock, Louis Donley and wife, Cyndi, Ronda Will, Lisa Eury and husband, Jeff, Beth Lutz and husband, Dave, Mike Blalock and Lynette Sprowls and husband, Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 16, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin, IL. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Louis’ family would like to extend a thank you to the Rathbone Retirement Community, Parkview Care Center and VistaCare Hospice for their care and support. He loved you all.
