He graduated from Johnston City High School in 1968 and was a proud member of the 1st graduating class of John A. Logan Jr. College in 1970. In 1966, Lyndell began work for Phillips 66 managing the station for four years. Lyndell married his wife, Sharon Kelley on January 8, 1971. He worked for Freeman Coal Company from 1971 - 1974. He then co-owned Precision Machine and Tool Co in Marion IL. In 1980, he moved his family to Linton, IN where he managed a coal washing plant he had designed. After servicing area mines, he then jointly founded SECCO in 1983 for over 20 years. In 2003 Lyndell moved to Gilbert, AZ and worked for XTEK Mining Services until 2008. He then worked for Haver Boecker Grand Canyon-WS Tyler of Canada until his retirement in 2016. He had over 45 years of experience in the mining and minerals processing industry.
Throughout Lyndell’s life he was brought up in the church where his family was very active in music ministry and leading music at various revivals. He was raised in Cedar Grove Methodist Church and Parish Park Baptist Church. He was active in the church his entire life as he was the Minister of Music at Parish Park for approximately 3 years before moving to Indiana. In Linton, he was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Youth Leader and Minister of Music, later attending the Linton First Christian Church. In Gilbert, AZ, he was a member of Church on Mill and attended Gateway Fellowship Baptist Church and Sun Valley Community Church. Upon moving to Evansville, he became a member of Oakhill Baptist Church.
Lyndell enjoyed being involved in his community being a member of the Rotary Club, Optimist Club, Civitan Club, School Board, and Chamber of Commerce all of Linton. He was an avid world traveler for work and leisure with his travels taking him to places including China, South America, and Canada. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and their families attending all the activities his grandchildren were involved in. He was thrilled to pass on to his children and grandchildren his love for music. Lyndell also enjoyed spending time with close friends playing games and cards. After moving back to Indiana, he enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona and most recently in Florida camping with friends.
He was preceded in death by parents; maternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Francis Stilley; paternal grandparents, Rev. Walter Clayton and Jesse Etta (Geer) Fuller; and brother, Kenneth Eugene “Gene” Fuller.
Lyndell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon (Kelley) Fuller; daughters, Dr. Kelly Cunningham (Dr. Aaron) of Martinsville, Nicole Ruble (Tony) of Washington, and Wynter Deckman (Ryan) of Evansville; grandchildren, Zander, Linley & Levi Cunningham, Gabriel & Emmanuel Ruble, and Brayden, Taylor, & Adyline Deckman; brother, Marvin Fuller (Pearl) of Rochester, IL; sister-in-law, Elaine Fuller of Mt. Vernon, IL; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John and Pam Browning of Marion, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was also a proud host father of Mamiko Hirai of Sendai, Japan, Ewelina Sikorska of Warsaw, Poland, and Dr. Anna Ihloff Hoffmann of Hamburg, Germany.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Oak Hill Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Alan Scott and Pastor Tony Ruble with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday 12:00 (noon) until service time both at the church.
