Lynne was born in Dale, Indiana in 1938 at her parents' home. She graduated Dale High School in 1956 where she was Vice President of her class, played the trombone in the band, and where her love of music began. With poodle skirts, bobby socks, and oxfords she would dance to the record player. She loved to attend any type of music event she could. Her favorite musician was her devoted son-in-law.
She attended Indiana Technical College and earned her degree as a medical secretary. She worked for several years at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was later employed as a seamstress and subsequently started her own sewing business and daycare.
Her happiest days were those surrounded by her family, filled with music and love. She had a contagious laugh and sense of humor that lit up a room. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a safe haven for many, the greatest cheerleader, and the perfect example of selflessness. She advocated for others success and lived by the motto “the greatest gift in life is to see those you love happy”. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Rhodes Whitaker, and Beulah Ann Whitaker [Varner]; and 1 great-grandchild.
Lynne is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Hamm [Larry Hamm] and Judy Lister; Children: Debra Hagensieker, Daniel Chandley, Darryl Chandley [Fiancé Sandra Knight], Diana Julian [Michael Julian]; Grandchildren: Roger Brammer, April Martin, Jason Chandley, Aaron Chandley, Kara Rasure, Brandon Chandley, Benjamin Chandley, Jessalyn Julian, Adam Hagensieker, Megan Hollingsworth, Allyson Chandley, Michaela Julian, 13 Great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-great grandchildren.
