She attended Bosse High School and was married to the late Owen Buster Gordon for 51 years; from June 2, 1955, until his death in 2006. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, road trips, anything chocolate, and spending time with her family, friends, fur-babies, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Alex Kirtman.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her step-fathers, Overton Michael and Jim McGrath; son-in-law, Eugene Martin; brother, Perry Stoneberger; sisters, Martha Jean Stoneberger and Ruth (Michael) Martyn; and granddaughter, Edith Alice Cuculic.
Marabeth is survived by her daughters, Desiree’ Cuculic of Newburgh, Tracy (Todd) Lamkin of Newburgh, and Kathy Martin of Portland, OR; brother, Danny (Earlene) Stoneberger; brother-in-law, Allen Martyn of Newburgh; grandchildren, Laura (Sam) Lamkin Kirtman, Christopher Lamkin, Michael Lamkin, all of Newburgh, John (Shannon) Martin of Cincinnati, OH, and Marabeth (Ryan) Martin O’Brien of Portland, OR; and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to give special thanks to friends, Dennis and Maggie Byers, as well as Deaconess VNA Plus Hospice, for all their help and support.
Buster used to say that the day he married Marabeth was the happiest as well as the saddest day of his life, as he knew that someday one of them would pass and leave the other behind. We are comforted in knowing that they were able to celebrate their 62nd anniversary together again.
