Margaret J Courey

Margaret June Courey, 95, of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully at Solarbron on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was born in Warren, Ohio on May 4, 1928 to the late John R. Fleming and Margaret (Walters) Fleming.

She enjoyed line dancing, square dancing, feeding and watching hummingbirds. Margaret also enjoyed playing cards and winning. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon. She cherished the time she spent with her family most of all.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Courey; brothers, Jack Fleming and Robert Fleming; and sisters, Mildred Ressler and Dorothy Stefaniak.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Mark) Thomas, Tammy (William) Trump, and Christopher (Tracy) Courey; grandchildren, Aaron (Alex Deeley) Trump, Courtney Martin, Chelsea (Brock) Wenderoth, Rachel (Jeremy) Will, Natalie (Zach) Taylor, Nickolas Courey, Maiya Courey, and Alayna Courey; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Sydney, Zella, Reese, Cooper, Foster, and Mac; and her brother, David B. Fleming; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at Alexander Memorial Park.
