Margaret L. McCracken

Margaret Laverne McCracken, 88, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 12, 1933 in Lyon County, Kentucky to Earl and Beulah (Hyde) Carroll. She worked as a monitor technician at St. Mary’s Medical Center, and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and reading. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne McCracken. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Moore (Grover) and Sandra McCracken; sons, Tony McCracken (Susan) and Tim McCracken (Tandra); grandchildren, Deena Carter, Krista Shields, Christopher Moore, Matthew McCracken, Mark McCracken, Ryan McCracken, Evan McCracken, and Brianna Pyle; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Georgette New and Jeanette Hammonds; brother, Charles Carroll; sister-in-law, Roberta Runkle; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor David Cullison officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
