

Margaret E. Poe, 98, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital in Boonville. She was born October 20, 1914, in Nebo, KY, to the late Daw W. and Carrie Zadie (Lancaster) Ipock.
She was of the Baptist faith and volunteered at the Salvation Army for many years. She loved to cook and was famous for her biscuits, chicken and dumplings and banana pudding.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Poe; son, Clifford Jones; granddaughter, Tonya Peveler; and son-in-law, Oza Terry.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Joyce) Jones, Thelma Terry, James T. Poe and Norman “Jolly” (Karen) Poe; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Jones, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
