She was a member of St. John’s East United Church of Christ, Sinawik Club, Lady Elks, Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority and Evansville Civic Theatre. She volunteered with the American Red Cross during World War II and was a 1929 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge and dancing.
Margaret is survived by her son, Victor V. Schriefer of Evansville.
Services were 11:00 AM Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Townsend, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Jamestown, IN on Friday, May 25, 2012. Friends visited Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
