Marieta "Rita" Mahrenholz

Marieta "Rita" Mahrenholz, 81, of Evansville, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 13, 1941 to the late John and Katherine Hollerbach. Marieta worked at Shane’s Sewing for about ten years and also a CNA for over thirty years. Her hobbies were loving on her pugs, Tiff and Max, planting flowers, cooking & cleaning, and caring for people. Marieta is survived by her daughter, Donna Dunn; son, Donald Spruell; grandchildren, John Knight (Shana), Jared France, Ashley Spruell, Melissa Hunter (Mike); great grandchildren, Christian France, Lexi France, Zayne Knight, Hayley Knight, Desirae Duran, Brayden Fenwick; great great grandchildren, Addilyn Rae France, Presley Snow France, Paisley Lynn France, Ryder Alan Baker, Brayliegh Ellis, Bella Ellis; and nephews, Jeff and Mark Effinger: and lifelong friend, Carol Holder. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, David Mahrenholz in 2008; and sister, Helen Brust in 2002. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
