Marjorie J. Jacobsen Deutsch

Marge was born April 8, 1933, in Joliet, Illinois, daughter of Floyd LeRay and Nelly May (Luman) Jacobsen.

Marge was known for her kindness in visiting with elderly and house-bound neighbors and for her efforts to “just be neighborly”. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery, and watching old T.V. shows.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frederick Robert “Fred” Deutsch, her daughter, Katherine Marie Deutsch. She was also preceded by her 4 sisters: Mary Catherine Marshall, Delores Lucille Nelson, Nancy Louise Ruffatto, Janice Marie Cramer, and one brother, Paul Owen Jacobsen.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Camilla Collier of Winslow, Ind.; son, Robert Deutsch of Shanghai, China; daughter, Carol Bogue of Danvers, Ill.; son, Anthony Deutsch of Gaston, Ore.; daughter, Annette Berry of Richmond, Ind.; step-son Frederick Deutsch II, of North Lauderdale, Fla; 19 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Services 1:00PM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN. with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11:00AM until Service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
