Marjorie grew up near Chicago. She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and helping at a family farm stand. She developed a love for playing piano at a young age. Her music was a gift, and though her hands are now still, the beautiful notes they shared will echo in our hearts forever.
Marjorie was a stay-at-home mom. Later in life, she enjoyed working as a caregiver for multiple home health care agencies.
She was preceded in death, by her parents, Marvin and Marion Aggen, and her husband, Roger Raetzman.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Susan Hirsch (Andy) and Laura Straeffer (Troy); sister, Marianne Landauer (Ran); grandchildren, Sarah, Matt, Adam and Ben; and niece, Sherri Landauer.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at North Park Nursing Center and the hospice staff at Gentiva for their compassionate care and support.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home - East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor Heather Foley. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
