He worked in management at Whirlpool for several years and worked at Penske Toyota. Mark was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he was a cantor and sang in the choir. He was an avid Cubs fan and St. Louis Blues fan. Mark loved to travel, watching Indiana University Basketball and attending NCAA Basketball Tournaments.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cecilia “Cissy” Pujol.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Denise (Nordhoff); daughter, Andrea Pauline Hirsch; brothers, David R. Hirsch, Anthony “Tony” Batchelder-Hirsch (Fil); and Matthew Hirsch (Pam); and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Sts. Mary and John Catholic Parish with Fr. Eugene Schmitt and Fr. Steve Lintzenich officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Alexander East Chapel and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. A Memorial Service will take place following the visitation at 7:00 p.m on Friday at the funeral home.
