A lifelong resident of Evansville, Mark graduated from Reitz High School in 1964.
Mark dedicated his professional life to the automotive aftermarket industry, working as a salesman from the time he graduated high school until his retirement. His work ethic, friendly demeanor, and deep knowledge of the industry earned him the respect and trust of many over the years. He was a longtime member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship brought him joy and community. Mark will be remembered for his warm heart, his devotion to family, and his quiet strength.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive paternal grandparents Frank and Loretta Schnarr; aunt, Mayme Schnarr; brother, Larry Sartore; and son, Mark McCullough.
Mark is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cathy; sons, Marc Schnarr (Helen) of Evansville, and Nick Schnarr (Cathy) of Jonesboro, AR; daughters, Angie Horton (Jimmy) of Evansville, Kristi Hays (Jim) of Evansville and Jennifer Bourgeois (John) of Brookhaven, GA; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, with one on the way; brothers, Robert and Rick Schnarr; sisters, Phyllis Wise, Lynn Peters, Karen Moore, Sharon Brizius, Linda Crowder and Donna Stanley.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, officiated by Pastor Tyrone Edwards, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church or Deaconess Hospice.
