Marty retired from the Evansville State Hospital where she worked as an executive assistant for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she also attended grade school. She graduated from Central High School. Marty enjoyed needlepoint, working with pottery, and crafts. She loved animals, especially cats, and was an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kello, Jr.; and sister, Patricia Heilman.
Marty is survived by her daughter, Heather L. Kello; son, Sean A. Kello; sister, Ruth Alewine (Jim); brother, Don Sparrow (Jackie); lifelong friend, Andrea Schirmer (Robert); as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday April 15, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday April 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
