Martha Wallace

She graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and worked at Deaconess for many years in various positions. She also worked at Visiting Nurse, St. Mary’s Home Care and IV Team and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. Martha enjoyed life to the fullest through golf, cards, travel, friends and, in later years, her second home in Grand Rivers, KY.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Glen and Dorothy Wallace of Carmi, IL.

She is survived by her brother, Jim (Donna) Wallace of Carmi, IL; cousins, Vi, Gayle, Sue, Nancy, Margie and Peggy; and special friends and caregivers, Jane Meyers and Donna Stewart.

Per Martha’s request, she will be cremated by Alexander Funeral Home. A celebration of Martha’s life and scattering of her ashes will be held at a later time in Grand Rivers, KY.

A special thanks is extended to all the staff at Golden LivingCenter-Woodbridge for the love and kindness they shared with Martha, especially Myrtle, Cindy, Phyllis, Pookie, Jennifer, and not to be forgotten, Jackie and Rebecca.
