

Mary Lynn Crossfield, 73, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Good Samaritan Home. She was born November 17, 1938, in Monticello, IN, to the late Paul Arthur and Freda Kathryn (Long) Wheaton.
She was a secretary in a real estate office and was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, now CrossPointe Trinity Church. She was President of Youth Baseball and Harrison High School Booster Club in 1982. She was church secretary for 35 years, a nursery worker, served on several boards and committees and was coach for the girls’ softball team. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was loyal and faithful to her church and loved to shop.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, Les Crossfield, Sr.; and sister, Judy Shelburn.
She is survived by her sons, Les (Christine) Crossfield, Jr. of Newark, OH and Dale “D.C.” (Connie Koester) Crossfield of St. Wendel, IN; granddaughter, Cheryl L. Boudreau of Newark, OH; grandson, Kyle (Elizabeth) Crossfield of Newark, OH; great-grandchildren, Alexander Boudreau and Keegan Crossfield; sisters, Barbara Thompson and Deborah Neideffer; and brothers, Robert Wheaton, Robert Aveline and Tomas Aveline.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Duane Allison and Rev. Everett Freels, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
