Mary Lee Dozier

Mary Lee graduated from Reitz High School class of 1962. She was actively involved in gardening and won the Gardener of the Year Award in 2017 from the SWIMGA. She was a member of The Turning Pointe Church and a volunteer at the United Caring Shelter. Mary Lee loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Selma and Ronald Hemmer; and brothers, James, William, Thomas, and David Hemmer.

Mary Lee is survived by her husband of 52 years, Danny Dozier; children, David, Brian, John, and Jenny Dozier; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Chaplain Scott Cassel and Pastor Greg Davis followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
