

Mary Jo Marks, 83, of Evansville, IN passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on November 19, 1941 in Evansville to the late Joseph C. and Mary A. (Braun) Wetherbee.
She retired from Welborn Hospital after 35 years of service as a Registered Nurse. Mary Jo was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She dedicated her time to helping others, including the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, Ronald McDonald House and had her C.A.R.N certificate, aiding others as a Certified Addiction Registered Nurse, and was a certified bereavement facilitator.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marks Sr.; great-grandson, Jeremiah Dutton; sister, Patricia Genet; and brother-in-law, William Marks.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Marks Jr. (Kim), Curtis Marks, and Scott Marks (Julie); daughter, Kathleen Mills; grandchildren, Kerry Fuller (Kara), Kasey Fuller, Kortney Finch (Trey), Amber Dutton (Josh), Chase Marks, Erika Marks, Christian Baugh and Maria Whitaker; along with 13 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W Mill Rd, Evansville, IN 47710 with Fr. Ray Brenner officiating. Those unable to attend may view the service at https://youtu.be/yceb1qSgGWc. Family and friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Alexander East Chapel, Evansville, IN 47714 and on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
