Mary Jane Salata

Mary Jane (Talarzyk) Salata, 90, of Bay City, TX, formerly of Evansville, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Matagorda Medical Center in Bay City. She was born March 1, 1925, in Evansville to the late Stanis and Nancy Ann (Williams) Talarzyk.

She retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company in California after working for ten years. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew V. Salata, in May of 2000, whom she married in August 1944.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Ann (Larry) Cunningham of Old Ocean, TX; sons, Richard (Kelly) Paul of Oregon City, OR and Stephen (Doris) Michael of Chiloquin, OR; sister-in-law, Marylee Talarzyk of Evansville; brother-in-law, Artie Devine of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Andy (Loni), Casey, Ethan, Michael, Lorraine, Stephanie, Sabrina, Gary, Cindy, Clyde, Cecil, Jennifer, and Brenda; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joseph Schulte, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
