Matilda “Tillie” Reynolds, 77, of Evansville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014, at Bethel Manor after a long illness. She was born February 14, 1937, in Wadesville, to the late Phillip Klenck and Nellie (Eisenhower) Mason.
She was born on Valentine’s Day and appropriately enough, red was her favorite color. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother who was always sewing clothes and costumes or carpooling for swimming, music or dance lessons. She enjoyed music, dancing, eating out and playing slot machines.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, David M. Winternheimer, with whom she had four children, and Ivan J. Reynolds; and longtime companion, Ray Weber.
Tillie is survived by her children, Sheryl (Jack) Barnett-Hughes of Tennessee, Bryan D. (Beverly) Winternheimer, Dedra Trail, both of Evansville, and Philip C. (Donna) Winternheimer of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and one aunt.
There will be a private celebration of Tillie’s life with no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at http://www.theaftd.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/electronically or to the American Diabetes Association at http://main.diabetes.org/goto/matilda_reynolds.
