Matthew Brown

Matthew Joe “Matty B.” Brown, 47, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born on November 28, 1974, in Evansville. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1993. Matthew worked at King’s Great Buys in Henderson, Kentucky for many years. He was a member of Crosspointe Trinity Church and was an avid Nascar Racing fan. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Brown; grandparents, Murrel and Bessie Sims and Preston and Inez Brown; grandfather, Darol Watson; uncles, Jack Brown and Ronnie Brown; and aunts, Brenda Wade and Ina Rae Ward. He is survived by his mother, Vera (Sims) Brown Watson (Larry); grandmother, Joan Watson; brothers, Brian Watson (Kristen) and Jeffrey Watson; nephews, Kyle, Brendan, and Killian; nieces, Carolyn and Juliette; aunts, Deanna Moog and Joye Brown; uncles, Randy Sims (Becky) and Darrel Brown (Barbara); cousins, Katie Sims, Robin Ward, and Gary Ward; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and his little dog, Holly. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Duane Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana. Friends may visit on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
