He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1978 and attended the Vincennes University for the Aviation Mechanics Program. He served in the Navy. Matthew enjoyed motor sports and remote control airplanes.
Matthew is survived by his son, Matthew Thomas Henness, Jr.; parents, Donald Henness, DVM & Nora Henness; sister, Lea Vollmer (Mike); grandson, Phoenix Henness; and nephew, Chris Vollmer.
Services will be 11:00AM, Monday, December 10, 2012, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Pastor Michael Rittichier, followed by entombment in the mausoleum. Friends may visit Monday, from 10:00AM until service time at the cemetery.
