He was a graduate from Bosse High School in 1959. He was in the Air Force from 1961 to 1965 with honors. Maurice was also a very talented artist and was a member of several clubs and has had his work displayed at the Evansville Museum and also Oak Hill Library.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Geraldine “Gerri” Burch; daughters, Kathy Embry and Gwen Hamer; grandsons, Logan Gentry, Kris Embry and Jarrod Embry; granddaughters, Lauren Gentry and Lydia Gentry; and two sisters, Patricia Fontino and Linda Bowen.
Maurice will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Basil Embry. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
